Hey there, Internet civilization! (That was quite possibly the geekiest way to start off a blog post...) If you're like me and enjoy spending hours on the computer every single day, chances are you're always looking for new websites and fresh content. Why not hop on over to the one and only YouTube and check out some short films? Many of them are incredibly well-made and deserve a lot more attention! (Plus, they're only four to five minutes long, which is great for impatient, hyperactive people like myself.) I've put links and descriptions to five of my favorite short films on YouTube below. "Omigod You Guys" (comedy/musical)
Okay, so it's not a YouTube video PER SE, but it's still hilarious and ridiculously well-made. A brilliantly funny spoof on the popular song from the Broadway hit "Legally Blonde", Chase Anderson (director) utilizes his fabulous camera-working skills and quirky sense of humor to bring five minutes of pure energy and entertainment to your computer screen. What more could you ask for?

"No Offense" (comedy)
Considering the fact that this is the second film on the list that has been directed by F.C. Rabbath, I think it's safe to assume that he is one of my favorite short film directors. This video is rib-achingly funny (yes, I just used an adjective my grandmother wouldn't even use.) Viewer discretion is advised.

"The Desk" (dramatic)
I just watched this film for the first time and it is, without a doubt, the most thoughtful short film I've seen thus far. Extraordinarily clever, outstanding musical decisions, and flawless camera work all come together to create an unexpected twist on a familiar theme. Well done, Albert Gonzalez!
